Aura Range

An image depicting the squared aura of the Priest.

Range is a statistic of both weapons and characters in Stick Ranger. The range indicates the distance (in pixels) a stickman can attack from. The range is squared, not circular (as seen in the image). The character's range is determined by the fixed range of the weapon, combined with bonuses from compo items or character stats. Bows, Orbs, Staves, Guns, and Rings have a relatively high range, and are known as "ranged weapons". Conversely, Gloves, Swords and Whips have a relatively low range, and are known as "melee weapons". The Priest's range also determines the range of their aura.

Increasing range[]

  • Each point of STR increases range for Snipers and Magicians by +2.
  • Each point of MAG increases range for Priests by +2.
  • Catapult's Card increases range for ranged weapons (Bows, Orbs, Staves, Guns, and Rings) by up to +150.
  • Long Sword's Card increases range for Gladiators by up to +25, and Katana's Card increases range by +10. Their range bonus stacks with each other, making the highest possible range for Gladiators 85 (as of ver18.6).

Notes[]

  • The length of a screen is 512 pixels, rendering range higher than 512 obsolete.
  • Range only affects the distance a character can attack from. Projectiles may travel farther depending on their velocity and lifespan.
    • Boxers and Whippers programmed to have higher range will be unable to hit enemies due to their range surpassing their hitboxes.
  • The Gladiator's sword will visibly increase in length with more range.
  • The Priest's vertical range is half of its horizontal range.
  • The Priest can attain the maximum range in the entire game, using Long Gold Rod 7, Catapult's Card 7, and Blue Stone 7, of 812 (as of ver18.6).
