MP

Magic Points (MP for short) is a statistic of magical weapons in Stick Ranger. Any weapon that requires MP is known as a magical weapon. MP are needed to use the magical attack of such weapons. This refers to certain gloves, swords, bows, whips and rings. In other words, MP applies only to Boxers, Gladiators, Snipers, Whippers and Angels.

Mechanics

When a character attacks using a weapon that requires MP and has at least 1 MAG, a blue bar (known as the MP bar) will charge up below the red health bar of the character. For each started attack, the bar will increase by a fraction equivalent to the character's MAG divided by the MP of the weapon. For example, a Boxer wielding a 10 MP Thunder Glove with 2 MAG will charge 2/10 (or one fifth) of the MP bar each punch.

When the MP bar is filled up, the character will execute the magical attack, and the MP bar will reset to 0; that is, any excess MP present after filling the bar will not be carried over. From this we can construct tables that indicates the number of attacks required to produce a magical attack, as can be seen below.

It should be noted that the MP bar resets when the weapon is modified (i.e. if a compo item is added to a weapon, or if the weapon is removed from the character).

In general, the number of hits required with a given MP and MAG can be calculated by $\left\lceil\tfrac{MP}{MAG}\right\rceil$. Note that the highest possible MP gain per hit in game is 256 (196 MAG + Blue Stone 7 + Black Stone 7).
