Gas is a state of matter in Powder Game and Powder Game 2. Any element that is a gas is affected by wind, air, drag, but instead of falling towards gravity, they move away from it. Currently, there are only a few types of gases, all are the same in both games.
Gasses can be extremely useful in the construction of joint creations, such as joint vehicles. This is because large amounts of elements will cause certian creations to become too heavy to preform their assigned tasks. Gasses can even be used to make flying vehicles.
- Fire - Fire is the very first gas element released in Powder Game (ver1.2) and Powder Game 2 (ver1.5). Fire raises upwards because it creates an upward wind vector. It imitates real-life fire, but is different in many ways - it doesn't create smoke, and burning isn't very realistic. Fire is a red colored element.
- Steam - Steam is the second gas element released in Powder Game (ver 1.8) and Powder Game 2 (ver2.5). It is also occasionally known as suds. Steam is a white colored element that is created by popping a bubble, making bubble text, using bubble or soapy-charged fireworks, contacting water with magma, or giving a player the bubble attribute. Unlike the other gasses, steam does not move, and instead stays in place until it disappears naturally.
- Gas - Gas is the third gas element released in Powder Game (ver4.5) and Powder Game 2 (ver2.8). It is a purplish-pink colored flammable element. It imitates real-life flammable gas and has a special AI.
- Cloud - Cloud is the fourth gas element released in Powder Game (ver8.3) and Powder Game 2 (ver4.8). Cloud has a very faint grey colour.
How gas elements work
Gases are affected by wind, air, and drag (except fire), but either stay in place or move opposite from gravity, therefore having zero and negative weights, respectively. Gases are essentially floating powders. Some gas particles can also repel each other, sometimes even allowing them to travel through block.
