Although weak, these enemies are more dangerous then the Green Shield Bats, as they are immune to most piercing weapons, as most piercing weapons are Fire type. It is best to draw a small amount of them at a time to an open space, if possible. They fire a pellet in a straight line which leaves a fire residue upon contact with ground, so another strategy is to lure the pellets away from walls so the pellet will only deal minuscule damage and not leave fire residue. Freeze type weapons are best against the mob of this enemy, specifically, the Magician's Big Icicle 4. They appear in a huge mob of 80 in the 2nd screen, but only appear on that screen. It is also recommended to use Pyramid Arrow 5, possibly with a Pierce's Card, to poison as many of these enemies as possible.
