This boss is similar to the bosses from the previous Cavern series. It fires rebounding Sparks directly above its head that travel rather slowly. They are of the Fire type, and they can deal a surprisingly high amount of damage. However, since it doesn't aim directly at characters, it's easy to spot the pattern of how the lasers will act on the terrain. Not only that, but if high powered weapons are used on the boss, they can kill it before it fires off too many volleys of sparks, making it a minor threat at best. It appearing alone doesn't help it at all.
