This boss uses a triple laser attack which can pierce characters and bounce off terrain. This boss is essentially a stronger cousin of the Red Shield Bat. The terrain of the boss area is set up to cause more damage than this enemy should, resulting in taking a lot of damage and making it more difficult to dodge. Ice and Thunder type weapons work best against this boss. For projectile attacks, have a Guide's Card ready, so that the attacks will be more likely to hit. This is the first Bat boss after the Castle and is the first flying boss after Submarine Shrine, if the Orange Boss Vampire Eel is not considered as flying.
